A Delegation of the European Union to Nigeria, the Embassies of the European Union Member States and the Embassies of Switzerland, Serbia and Turkey present the 2013 edition of the European Film Festival in Abuja, Kaduna, Jos, Port Harcourt and Lagos.
As in previous years, the present festival is part of activities to mark the Europe Day celebration.
Since its inauguration in 2008, the European Film Festival in Nigeria has been witnessing an ever increasing success and audience. More than 90 films have been screened so far and last year, for the first time the Festival was extended outside of Abuja, the nation's capital, to Kaduna, Jos, Port Harcourt and Lagos.
It is believed that this year's edition will be even more entertaining and enriching, as a superb line-up of European films will be shown to the Nigerian audience.
Noting that Cinema is an important medium for expression of culture and opinions, both in Nigeria and in Europe, the organisers are looking forward to sharing with Nigerian viewers all the variety, richness and potential of European cinematic art.
As in previous years, admission is totally free, while the first day of the festival kicks off at Silverbird Cinema, Abuja on May 1, 2013.
